Lyndsey Dottavio, M.Ed., LPC-Intern
Lyndsey Dottavio is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern, supervised by Kate Walker, PhD, LPC, LMFT, and Deborah M. Michel, PhD, CEDS. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and completed her Masters of Education in Counseling and Development at Lamar University.
Lyndsey provides individual counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. She also conducts family, couples, marital, and group therapy. She has worked with adolescents in a variety of areas including mentoring, leadership , and those seeking assistance within the juvenile justice system. With regard to eating disorders, Lyndsey has conducted research examining the impact of social media and the internet on development of eating disorders. In addition, she has lectured on the treatment of eating disorders in her counseling program. Her dedication to help individuals overcome poor body image, eating disorders, and related problems motivated her to join The Woodlands Eating Disorders Center. Lyndsey is also experienced in anger management, substance abuse treatment, and coping skills training in both individual and group formats. She is a member of Houston Eating Disorders Specialists, Texas Counseling Association and American Counseling Association.
